Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th, 1967) was an American performer and actress. Wuhrer's career began as she was a teenager. Her most well-known performances include Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders; and the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble), who works as a payroll accountant and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a officer and dealer in cars). She has 3 siblings. When she was young she sang in nightclubs, and then went on to sing. When she began studying acting at Wooster School at 13 years old she was a drama student at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. She is born a Brookfield resident born in Brookfield Connecticut on 28th April 1967. Her father is an German American policeman as well as a salesperson for autos. Kari was born in a family of four. As a teenager, she performed in nightclubs in secret, escaping to perform. When she was 13 years young, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School, then began her studies in drama at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari began acting when she was still in the teen years. Kari got her debut big break with MTV Remote Control in 1987.
